Remember when Colorful Me Beautiful by Carole Jackson came out in 1980? Most of you were probably not even born! Well everything, even color has its time and many of the home decor magazines are reporting that color's time is NOW.
Design No. Five’s Seaweed XL in Waterloo adds the WOW to this sunny cocktail room. A simple wooden bench used as a coffee table, painted Nantucket Red and paired with pink-red variegated tulips - not to mention Charlotte’s red nails and pink book - Oh My the color certainly is NOW…

Color can be the focus. Go for the drama by painting walls and trim the same bold color! Benjamin Moore’s Drop Dead Gorgeous on the walls and trim was then glazed with a Pumpkin Spice wash. Supporting the color with a neutral beige slipcovered Cisco Seda Sofaand white oversized wingbacks by Dovetail also slipcovered in white duck add the anchor elements. Then layer with colorful Design No. Five Pillows, a pair of Serena & Lily’s Cooper Leather Stools, Made Goods Edward Style striped canvas and leather trimmed coffee table (discontinued) for the full coastal living GLAM effect! Offset with plants, artwork and metal lights for a full dose of color and interest. Unlike a neutral room, there is no end to adding color to a colorful room.
